Our Gosford Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

La Grisa (Gosford Race 4 No. 1)
This five-year-old mare trained by John O’Shea has three wins and five places from 16 starts. She didn’t run on when 6.1 lengths 9th in the Listed Australia Day Cup over 2400m at Warwick Farm on 26 January, then chased hard to find the front at the 150m and raced away to win by 2.8 lengths over 2200m at Warwick Farm on 10 February. She has drawn the inside barrier and should win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Champagne Vega (Gosford Race 7 No. 7):
This five-year-old Lope De Vega gelding has five wins and seven place from 27 starts. He resumed after 26 weeks for a 0.32 length win over 1300m on his home track of Canberra on 13 January, then ran on strongly for a 4 length win over 1400m on a soft track at Canberra on 5 February. Looking for a hat-trick and is  a great each-way bet.

Best Lay

Zudin (Gosford Race 2 No. 4):
This Redoubte’s Choice colt trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in this maiden handicap over 1600m. He only battled on the heavy track for 0.8. 1.5 lengths 3rd over 1550m at Canterbury on 29 January, then was winded late for 4.7 lengths 5th over 1550m at Canterbury on 12 February. Others appear to have better chances and I am prepared to risk him here.

Best Bets Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday's meeting. Tagaloa (Flemington Race 7 No. 2) There is a lot to like about this colts chances in the Group 1 Australian Guinea's on Saturday.  The 2020 Blue Diamond winner rode a brutal speed here second up and still managed to reel off the fastest last 200m sectional of the race to the win the CS Hayes Stakes in superb fashion.  Four of the last six winners of the CS Hayes Stakes have gone onto win the Australian Guinea's
