Our Randwick-Kensington Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Bethencourt (Randwick Race 3 No. 4)
This four-year-old Puissance de Lune gelding has only had three starts, for two wins and a 2nd. He settled 3rd and kept chasing for 0.4 length 2nd over 1200m at Kembla Grange on 17 September, then chased hard to get there late for a 0.7 length win over 1350m at Wyong on 1 October. He had the best last 400m race sectional and looks a great chance to win again here.

Each Way

Atlantic King (Randwick Race 7 No.9):
This four-year-old More Than ready gelding trained by Matthew Dunn has a win and three places from five starts. He finished his first campaign with 0.5 length, 0.2 length 3rd over 1400m at Rosehill Gardens on 2 November 2019, then resumed for 1.5 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Rosehill on a heavy track on 30 May. After that race he was spelled again but has won an open trial over 1200m at Warwick Farm on 9 October. I’m expecting him to go well first-up and feel he is a good each-way bet.

Best Lay

Highmaster (Randwick Race 5 No.6):
This four-year-old gelding is the early favourite in this BM 72 Handicap over 1800m. He chased to join the lead at the 200m and was too strong late for a 0.5 length win over 1500m in a Class 1 at Kembla Grange on 17 September where he had the best overall race sectionals, then led until headed by So Wicked at the 250m and finished 3.3 lengths 2nd over 1900m at Canterbury Park on 5 October. He meets that horse better at the weights but meets some good horses here.

Best Bet Prophet Of Boom (Gatton Race 2 No. 12) Won here 2 starts ago then was steadily winding up when 1.2 lengths 4th over 1400m last start. This distance looks suitable and he has strong claims.
