Our Canterbury Park Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Seleque (Canterbury Race 3 No. 3):
This three-year-old Deep Field filly trained by Chris Waller has three wins and four places from nine starts. At the end of last campaign she fought on strongly to prevail late for a 0.45 length win over 1200m at Gosford on 1 April where she had the best last 800m-200m race sectional, then was spelled for 12 weeks. She resumed on a heavy track where she kept coming to find the front at the 200m and went clear for a length win over 1100m at Warwick Farm on 30 June. Rates highly and should win.

Imposing Beau (Canterbury Race 5 No. 11):
This three-year-old Brazen Beau gelding trained by Team Hawkes has one win and one place from four starts. He took over at the 250m and fought on strongly before going down late for a narrow 2nd over 1200m at Newcastle on 5 June, then he raced keen but was beaten at the 300m and finished 6.14 lengths 6th over 1300m at Rosehill on 26 June. Has the speed to overcome his wide draw and should improve on last run.

Off Shaw (Canterbury Race 7 No. 2):

This three-year-old Tobique gelding trained by Bjorn Baker is the early favourite in this BM 72 handicap over 1550m. When resuming from a 17 week spell he finished 1.3 lengths 5th over 1200m at Warwick Farm on heavy going on 14 June, then took over at the 280m but was run down late for 0.55 length 2nd over 1400m at Warwick Farm on heavy going on 30 June. Has a big weight and a wide barrier and I’m prepared to risk him here.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes up in the last. Best Bet Mishare (Seymour Race 8 No. 6) Likeable return when running 3rd in a race no harder than this. The kind draw and ideal map makes for appeal and there has been good support come race day. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Paris Shiraz (Seymour Race 7 No. 7) Nice win last start and still had a

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments There are 2 features on the meeting. The Mornington Cup (race 8) and the Hareeba Stakes (race 9). The rail is out 9 metres and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Perspiration (Mornington Race 1 No. 1) Has been excellent to date in 2 runs so far and looks ready to win. Ethan Brown does the steering and you can argue it should have won last start when taken wide and hit the line with plenty of intent.

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The Quokka (race 8) has $5 million prizemoney making it WA's richest race. There is also the Group 2 Karrrakatta Plate (race 7). The track is Good and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Yarralea (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) Last-start winner over 1500m at Ascot and draws to do no work. Should be hard to beat. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000m-380m mark and true for the remainder. The best bet looks primed to break through. Best Bet Elba ( Cranbourne Race 2 No. 6 ) Boasts 4 placings to date, all of them in some decent company and now Elba gets its chance to breakthrough. Tackles this off a freshen up, comes up with the pole position and looks poised to give this race a red hot shake. Analyst: Bryce Parker
