Our Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

The feature event is the $150,000 Ladies Day Cup.

Sahra (Hawkesbury Race 5 No. 5)
This Hinchinbrook filly has had two starts for a win and a place. She debuted with a 3.3 length win in a 2YO maiden plate over 1000m at Kembla Grange on 25 June where she had the best overall race sectionals. Her second start was in a 2YO handcap over 1100m at Rosehill in heavy going on 11 July where she was hampered at the 350m and came 2.5 lengths 2nd to North Pacific where she had the best last 800m race sectional of the day at the distance. She looks the testing material in this race.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Donnachiara (Hawkesbury Race 9 No. 4):
This four-year-old Eurozone mare has three wins and a place from 11 starts. She battled on well for 0.84 lengths 4th over 1800m at Hawkesbury on 11 October, then got up on the line for a 0.07 length win over 1800m at Hawkesbury on 22 October where she had the best last 400m race sectional. She is up in journey but has won over 2100m i the past. Looks a nice each-way bet.

$6.00

Best Lay

Donandkim (Hawkesbury Race 8 No. 1):
This four-year-old Smart Missile gelding is the early favourite in this BM 64 handicap over 1300m. He kept chasing for 1.7 lengths 4th over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 13 May, then was the leader straightening but was headed at the 250m to finish 9 lengths 11th over 1550m at Kensington on a soft track on 3 June, where he was slow to recover. He has had a 23 week break since then and has won 1 of 4 first-up. There are many chances in the race and he does not look like value.

Horse Racing Tips: SA Wednesday 29th May 2024

Key Comments The track is currently soft and the rail is +1.5 metres from the winning post to the 1500m, +3 metres from the 1200m to 400m and true for the remainder. Best Bet Our Glamour Girl (Strathalbyn Race 2 No. 9) On a four day back-up after working to the line well to finish just behind the placegetters at Murray Bridge on Saturday. She gets a 3kg claim for Caitlyn Munro and this is an easier race. Rates highly. Check odds

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Wednesday 29th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is in the true position. Michael Dee and Jordan Childs both have a strong book of cards and are the jockeys to follow for the challenge. Expecting all runners to have their chance on this track. Best Bet Tumbling (Sale Race 8 No. 4) Races best fresh and a recent trial was a sound piece of work. Usually settles off the speed so barrier 12 isn't much of a hinderance here and strikes a race lacking depth. Check odds
