At the end of last campaign he battled steadily for 7.25 lengths over 1100m at Bendigo on 25 February after the rider lostthe whip at the 100m, then was spelled for 60 weeks. He resumed for 1.22 lengths 4th over 1000m at Gunnedah where he battled on well. Finished 6th at Randwick last tim je was second-up and should win this.

Lord Magnussen (Armidale Race 6 No. 4):
This five-year-old Smart Missile gelding trained at Glen Innes has five wins and five places from 30 starts. He won a BM 58 over 1300m at Armidale on 13 April, then drifted back to be wide with no cover and finished 4.57 lengths 7th over 1200m at Grafton on 7 May. Has gone well at this track in the past and looks a good each-way chance.

This four-year-old Exceed And Excel gelding trained at Scone is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 1100m. He resumed from an 18 week spell for 0.17, 0.35 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Armidale on 13 April, then ran 3.58 lengths 8th over 1000m at Gunnedah on 3 May. This is a very open race and I have rated others ahead of him.
