Dragon’s Breath (Sapphire Coast Race 1 No. 2)

At the end of his first campaign he was winded in the straight and finished 8.9 lengths 7th over 1200m at Goulburn on 7 February, then resumed after a 13 week spell for 2, 0.1 lengths 3rd on a heavy track over 1010m at Moruya on 13 May. Stella Baia (Sapphire Coast Race 3 No. 8):
This four-year-old Pins mare trained by Joseph Ible at Canberra has one win from two starts. At her first start she kicked away from the corner and won by 1.49 lengths over 1000m at Gundagai on 14 November, then led but did some work from out wide and winded in the last 200m for 8.8 lengths 7th over 1000m at Canberra. Resumes from a 26 week spell and looks a solid each-way chance.

Scarleo (Sapphire Coast Race 6 No. 4):
This four-year-old Helmet gelding trained by Barbara Joseph and Paul Jones at Canberra is the early favourite in the Winter Cup handicap over 1607m. At the end of last campaign he finished 0.6 length 4th in the Christmas Cup over 1300m on 20 December, then was spelled for 20 weeks. On resuming he finished 11.8 lengths 11th in a Highway Class 3 Handicap over 1500m at Rosehill on 15 May. Drops 4kg from that run and is back to country racing but others rate better and he offers no value.
