Our Randwick Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes is race 8 and The Silver Eagle is race 7.

On The Lead (Randwick Race 10 No. 3):
This four-year-old I Am Invincible gelding trained by Richard & Michael Freedman resumed after 22 weeks for 2.8 lengths 5th over 1000m at the Rosehill at Kembla Grange meeting on 28 August, then found the front at the 150m but couldn’t hold on and finished 0.4 length 2nd over 1100m at Gosford on 22 September with the best last 800-200m race sectional of the day at the distance. Suited by the drop in weight and distance and fitter now he should be hard to beat.

Each Way

Yiyi (Randwick Race 3 No. 3):
This four-year-old No Nay Never mare trained by Chris Waller has three wins and three places from six starts this campaign. She over-raced in the middle stages before finishing 1.2 lengths 3rd over 2000m at the Rosehill at Kembla Grange meeting on 11 September. Last start she took over at the 280m and kept going for a 0.6 length win over 1900m at Rosehill on 25 September. In great form and is a solid each-way bet.

Best Lay

Great News (Randwick Race 9 No. 10):
This five-year-old Uncle Mo mare trained by Kim Waugh is the early favourite in The Nivison Group 3 set weights race for mares over 1200m. She has placed at all three starts this campaign. She started favourite and finished 0.8 length 3rd in the Listed Mona Lisa Stakes over 1350m at Wyong on 3 September, then started favourite and finished 1.1 lengths 3rd in the Group 3 Tibbie Stakes over 1400m at Newcastle on 17 September. She has been expensive lately and I’m willing to risk her in this field of good mares.

Best bet – Race 9 # 1 Cristal Breeze Keen on this 6yo who is third-up in a much easier race. He was entered for a race up here last week, but from memory they scratched because of a sticky draw. They haven’t fared any better here as they’ve come out with the widest barrier this time. However, the map reads ok as he can come across with likely leader Barney’s Law drawn just inside him. He could sit outside the lead or one-out, one-back. His form in Sydney just looks

Kapalua Sunset (Caulfield Race 4 No. 10) Three year old daughter of Tavistock who is trained by Danny O’Brien.  She ran home strongly against the bias in a Geelong maiden on debut, then stepped to 1875m at Kyneton and bolted in by seven lengths in a high rating performance.   Strips fitter again here, draws perfectly for Brett Prebble and will have no issues with a wet

Best Bets Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. Squizzy Mizzy (Morphettville Race 7 No. 6) This four-year-old  Squamosa mare trained by Phillip Stokes has one win and two places from five starts. She resumed for a good 1.7 length win over 1000m at Morphettville Parks and looks ready to go on with the job. $4.00
