Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Tycoonist (Rosehill Race 10 No. 5)
This four-year-old Written Tycoon gelding trained by Chris Waller has four wins and eight places from 19 starts. When resuming from a 14 week spell he chased hard and got 2nd on protest after interference near the 200m over 1100m at Rosehill on 4 December. Last start he was a 0.6 length  winner over 1200m at Randwick with the best last 800m race sectional of the day at the distance on 18 December. Likely to race on the speed and rates highly.

Each Way

Never Second (Rosehill Race 6 No. 3):
This four-year-old Zoustar mare trained by Annabel Neasham has four wins and two places from eight starts. She led all the way on a heavy track for a 1.3 length win over 1200m at Kembla Grange on 11 December, then led all the way again for a 2.5 length win on soft going over 1200m at Gosford on 29 December. She is in great form, handles rain-affected going and looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Kingsheir (Rosehill Race 5 No. 8):
This five-year-old Kingman gelding trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in this 3YO & Up BM 88 Handicap over 1400m. He has an enviable record of three wins and five places from 10 starts, but has not won on soft or heavy tracks. He chased hard for 0.1 length 2nd over 1800m at Kensington on 29 September, then kept chasing for 0.9 length 3rd over 1600m on a soft track at Kembla Grange on 20 November. Returns from a seven week let-up and prepared to risk him on what is expected to be a rain-affected track.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments There are 2 features on the meeting. The Mornington Cup (race 8) and the Hareeba Stakes (race 9). The rail is out 9 metres and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Perspiration (Mornington Race 1 No. 1) Has been excellent to date in 2 runs so far and looks ready to win. Ethan Brown does the steering and you can argue it should have won last start when taken wide and hit the line with plenty of intent.

Horse Racing Tips: ACT Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000-380m mark and true for the remainder. Racing on a soft 5 track. The best bet is early on in the day. Best Bet Greaves (Canberra Race 2 No. 1) Capable of a big finish when on song. The map here looks good from barrier 4 and Owen has options. This race suits and last start rates well enough to take this out. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The Quokka (race 8) has $5 million prizemoney making it WA's richest race. There is also the Group 2 Karrrakatta Plate (race 7). The track is Good and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Yarralea (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) Last-start winner over 1500m at Ascot and draws to do no work. Should be hard to beat. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000m-380m mark and true for the remainder. The best bet looks primed to break through. Best Bet Elba ( Cranbourne Race 2 No. 6 ) Boasts 4 placings to date, all of them in some decent company and now Elba gets its chance to breakthrough. Tackles this off a freshen up, comes up with the pole position and looks poised to give this race a red hot shake. Analyst: Bryce Parker
