Atishu (Randwick Race 10 No. 13):
This four-year-old Savabeel mare trained by Chris Waller has five wins and four places from 10 starts. At her first Australian start she ran on strongly to find the front at the 100m and kept going for an impressive 1.2 length win over 1400m at Randwick on 21 August. Prior to that she had won her previous four starts in New Zealnd over distances from 1400m to 2000m. Should be very hard to beat.

Tampering (Randwick Race 3 No. 6):
This five-year-old Pendragon gelding trained by Kerry Parker at Kembla Grange has five wins and five places from 24 starts. He chased hard to find the front at the 200m and held on for a 0.2 length win over 1400m at Kembla Grange on 5 August, then he was a narrow leader straightening and fought on for a 0.4 length win over 1600m at Randwick on 21 August. Has drawn wide but is still a good each-way chance.

Shaik (Randwick Race 2 No. 3):
This four-year-old Sebring mare trained by Team Hawkes is the early favourite in this Mares BM 78 handicap over 1100m. When resuming from a 17 week spell she finished 2.5 lengths 11th in the Listed Helen Coughlan Stakes over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 29 May, then she kept chasing for 1.6 lengths 4th over 1200m at Randwick on 12 June. She resumes from a 12 week let-up and others look to have better chances.
