Great House (Rosehill Race 7 No. 10)
This four-year-old Galileo gelding trained by Chris Waller has three wins and three places from seven starts. At the end of last campaign he lost a plate in running and only battled for 4.1 lengths 4th over 1900m at Rosehill on 13 March before spelling for 12 weeks. He resumed with a narrow win over 1500m at Rosehill on 5 June and is the testing material again.
Shadow Crush (Rosehill Race 9 No. 1):
This four-year-old gelding trained by Mark Newnham has five wins and two places from 12 starts. He chased hard to arrive on the line with the best last 800m race sectional of the day at distance for a narrow win over 1100m at Kensington on 19 May, then chased hard to find the front at the 200m and held on for a 0.31 length win over 1200m at Rosehill on 5 June. Has a 3kg claim and looks a nice each-way chance.
Kaapfever (Rosehill Race 3 No. 4):
This six-year-old gelding trained by Joe Pride is the early favourite in the Stayer’s Cup over 3200m. He was slowly away and settled towards the rear before looking for a run straightening where he didn’t run on when switched inside runners and finished 7.8 lengths 6th in the Listed Winter Cup over 2400m at Rosehill on 5 June, then he chased hard to cross the line 3rd but was promoted to 2nd after the winner was disqualified over 2400m at Warwick Farm on a heavy track on 14 June. He is untried over 2 miles and offers no value.
