Our Randwick Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. The feature race is the Listed Carrington Stakes (race 8).
Bandersnatch (Randwick Race 8 No. 8)
This four-year-old Casino Prince gelding trained by team Hawkes has five wins and four places from 15 starts. He was held up and only got clear at the 150m where he made some ground for 1.5, 0.75 lengths 3rd over 1410 at Flemington on 12 December where he should have finished much closer, then jumped awkwardly and chased hard for 0.1 length 2nd over 1200m at Randwick on 9 January where he had the best overall race sectional of the day at the distance. The 1400m suits and he looks the likely winner of the Carrington Stakes.

Strange Charm (Randwick Race 9 No. 7):
This four-year-old Casino Prince mare trained by Anthony Cummings has four wins and two places from 17 starts. She was the leader straightening and fought hard for a 0.1 length win over 1550m at Canterbury Park on 1 January, then chased hard to find the front at the 200m and raced away for a 1.8 length win over 1550m at Canterbury Park on 8 January. Drops 1.5 kg from last run and looks a good each-way bet.

Blondeau (Randwick Race 7 No. 10):
This three-year-old I Am Invincible gelding is the early favourite in this BM 78 Handicap over 1400m. After a 16 week break he returned for 0.8, 0.1 length 3rd in a BM72 over 1300m at Warwick Farm on 23 December, then found the front at the 200m and fought on for a 0.2 length win over 1300m on a heavy track at Warwick Farm on 6 January. Other runners in this race look to have better chances.
