Our Kembla Grange Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The main races is the $1,000,000 The Gong.

Macroura (Kembla Grange Race 6 No. 9)
This Snitzel filly trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace has three wins and a place from five starts. After winning her first three starts she finished last campaign with 4.4 lengths 7th in the Group 1 JJ Atkins 2YO Plate then went for a 21 week spell. She resumed for 0.2, 1.3 lengths 3rd on a heavy track over 1100m at Rosehill on 31 October where she was sent out as the favourite. On good going she will perform much better and should return to the winners circle.

Each Way

Wichita Warrior (Kembla Grange Race 2 No. 2):
This four-year-old All Too Hard gelding trained by Keith Dryden at Canberra has three wins and a place from eight starts. He ran on strongly from well back in the field for 1.49 lengths 2nd in an open handicap over 1200m at Canberra on 23 October, then didn’t run on and was slow to recover when 9.9 lengths 12th of 14 in a Highway Class 3 handicap over 1500m at Rosehill on a heavy track on 7 November. Forgive him that run and he looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Berdibek (Kembla Grange Race 8 No. 1):
This seven-year-old grey gelding trained by John O’Shea at Randwick is the early favourite in this BM 88 Handicap over 1600m. At the end of last campaign he won by 1.8 lengths in a BM 78 handicap over 1800m at Randwick on 28 December. After a 44 week spell he resumed with a narrow win in a greys race over 1400m at Flemington on 5 November. He has drawn the rails but is up against some good horses and will find this much tougher than last start.
