Vitesse (Kensington Race 8 No. 8):
This Snitzel mare has had four starts back from a spell where she has been on heavy going each time and she is now very fit. She started from the outside gate where she raced wide with no cover then was hampered at the 150m so she was never really tested when 2.1 lengths 7th over 1200m at Randwick on 20 June. Next start she was to be ridden further forward, was the leader straightening and kept going for a 0.8 length win over 1400m at Randwick on 4 July, even though the rider dropped the whip at the 200m. She will probably race on the speed again and looks a very nice each-way bet at the current odds

Mr Magical (Kensington Race 2 No. 4):
This Magic Albert gelding is the favourite in this class 2 Highway Handicap over 1100m, as he is unbeaten in two runs. At his first start he fought hard for a 0.7 length win in a maiden handicap over 1000m at Sapphire Coast on 2 February, then he took over at he 100m and raced away for a 2.3 length win in a class 1 handicap at Nowra on soft going on 16 June. He clearly has ability but is meeting much stronger company here and does not look like a value runner.
