Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The Bopper (Rosehill Race 7 No. 2)
This four-year-old Nicconi gelding trained by Kris Lees has four wins and one place from eight starts. At the end of last campaign he finished 1.4 lengths 4th in the Inglis Dash over 1100m at Flemington on 27 February then was spelled for 42 weeks. He trialled well before resuming for a 1.2 length win over 1000m at Randwick on 18 December with the best last 800m race sectional. Looks to have come back well and can handle a soft track. Should win.

Each Way

Evening Bride (Rosehill Race 4 No. 10):
This four-year-old Bull Point mare trained by Edward Cummings has three wins and one place from six starts. On resuming from a 47 week spell she came from the back of the field to power home for a 1.5 length win over 1000m at Goulburn on 17 December, then chased hard to find the front at the 100m and kept going for a 1.1 length win over 1200m at Gosford on 31 December. This is harder but she is down in the weights, drawn well and looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Fashchanel (Rosehill Race 8 No. 1):
This five-year-old I Am Invincible mare trained by John O’Shea is the early favourite in this 3YO & Up BM 78 Handicap over 1350m. She kept chasing for 1.3 lengths 6th over 1350m at Rosehill on 4 December, then led all the way for a 1.7  length win in a fillies & mares handicap over 1400m at Randwick on 18 December. Topweight here but gets a 2kg claim that will help but doesn’t seem to do her best at Rosehill and offers no value.

$3.70
