Our Newcastle Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The main races are the $1,000,000 The Hunter and the Group 3 NJC Spring Stakes.

Vadiyann (Newcastle Race 3 No. 7)
This six-year-old gelding trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott is a lightly-raced import who has only had one start since arriving in Australia where he won a BM 88 Handicap over 2000m ar Randwick on 21 December after having several trials in the eight months prior to that. His three overseas wins were over 1900m to 2100m. He is first-up after a 47 week spell but has a win from two trials. Looks the likely winner.

Fiesta (Newcastle Race 7 No. 8):
This five-year-old I Am Invincible mare trained by Chris Waller has been going well in Melbourne this campaign. She won the Group 3 Northwood Plume Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield by 0.75 length on 10 October, then won the Group 3 Begonia Belle Stakes over 1100m at Flemington by 1.25 lengths on 31 October. She has been finishing her races strongly and looks a good each-way bet.

Cecilia (Newcastle Race 2 No. 14):
This four-year-old Darci Brahma mare trained by Aleacia Bennett at Muswellbrook has a solid record of two wins and four places from six starts and is the early favourite in this Highway Class 3 Handicap over 1300m. She finished 0.2,0.31 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Port Macquarie on 9 October, then drove clear soon after straightening and won by 3.03 lengths in a Class 1 handicap over 1200m at Newcastle on a heavy track on 27 October. She goes down in weight but up in class and is a query since both wins have been on rain-affected going.

Key Comments The rail is true and the conditions are in the soft range. A 9 race card takes place and the jockeys challenge looks an even spread of chances. The best bet looks well placed to notch up another win. Best Bet She's Pretty Rich (Wangaratta Race 4 No. 3) Doesn't win out of turn but did 2 starts back and again put in a solid effort last run in Morphetville. Looks well placed here on the weights scale and should give

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Thursday 20th June 2024

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is out 0.5 metre from the 900m to 600m, and +1.5 metres from the 600m to 250m. Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Key Comments There are 8 races at Pinjarra Park. The track is soft and the rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Processio (Pinjarra Race 2 No. 6) This filly was a neck 2nd when resuming over 1200m at Bunbury on 2nd June. There was a 6 length gap to 3rd. Looks a strong chance here. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Wednesday 19th June 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range and the rail is out 8 metres. The best bet is one of the hardest horses to catch but looks juicy odds. Best Bet William Thomas (Sandown Race 8 No. 3) He has been enormous in his past few runs without much luck and does go well on this track. Very hard horse to catch but boasts a good place rate and hasn't seen a grade this low since 2018. Can win but he
