Our Kembla Grange Horse Racing Tips for Fridays meeting.

The feature races is the Group 3 Kembla Grange Classic.

Subedar (Kembla Grange Race 4 No. 3)
This four-year-old Sepoy gelding trained by James Cummings has three wins and three places from eight starts. He was slowly away and settled at the rear before chasing hard for 0.5 length 2nd over 1400m at Randwick on 9 January, then took over at the 300m and was strong through the line for a 1.5 length win over 1200m at Flemington on 27 February. He is perfectly placed here and should win.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Shadow Flight (Kembla Grange Race 5 No. 3):
This seven-year-old Duporth gelding trained by Les Bridge has six wins and 15 places from 50 starts. He was winded badly when 2.8, 7.3 lengths 3rd over 2400m at Randwick on a soft track on 13 February, then made good ground the final 200m for 0.2, 1.5 lengths 3rd over 2200m at Warwick Farm on 3 March. He drops a little in grade and is a good each-way hope here.

Best Lay

Brookspire (Kembla Grange Race 7 No. 4):
This three-year-old Hinchinbrook filly trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in the Kembla Grange Classic for 3YOs over 1600m. At her 2nd race start she was a narrow winner of a 3YO maiden plate over 1400m at Kensington, then after an eight week let-up she chased hard for 1.3, 2.3 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Kensington. She drops in weight from that but this is a very competitive field and she offers no value.
