This four-year-old Snippetson gelding trained by Jim Taylor has two wins and five places from 10 starts. He led throughout and won by 0.7 length over 1100m at Northam on 27 September, then was grabbed on the line for 0.1 length 2nd over 1200m at Ascot on 2 November. Has a lot of early speed and is going well this preparation. Should win again.

This seven-year-old Trade Fair mare has three wins and 11 places from 24 starts. She faded in the run to the line for 8 lengths 7th over 1600m at Northam on 20 October, then loomed at the 100m and finished 0.8 length 3rd over 1800m at Ascot on 10 November. Has placed at three of her last four races and looks a strong each-way hope again.

English Heritage (Belmont Race 6 No. 2):
This four-year-old Heritage mare trained by Lindsey Smith is the early favourite in this Class One Handicap for Fillies & Mares over 1400m. She only battled for 6 lengths 6th over 1300m at Northam on 24 October, then fought evenly in traffic for 3.1 lengths 4th over 1400m at Belmont on 11 November. Gets the blinkers on for the first time, but I’m not sure that will be enough.

The track is rated Soft 5 and the rail is +9 metres from the 1200m to the winning post and +6 metres for the remainder. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet has won two in a row since resuming and can continue on its winning ways from the good draw and with Mclucas sticking. Best Bet Gold Revolver ( Canterbury Race 7 No. 1 ) Has put together two wins this prep. Leading both times. Looked under pressure and found plenty last run in a BM78 and sticks in the same grade here. The query is the big rise in weight however

Best Bet Typhoon Taavi ( Doomben Race 10 No. 6 ) She was a strong winner at this track and trip 2 weeks ago and gets a 3kg claim for Tahlia Fenlon who was successful on her last outing. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet comes up in race number 2 and looks hard to hold out from the good draw. Expecting those on speed to be suited as that is how it usually plays on this track. Best Bet Rebellious Hope ( Ballarat Race 2 No. 7 ) Like the placement here from the good draw. Didn't have much room last start and Mott hops aboard for the first time. This 3 year old Filly
