Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Treasured Star (Ascot Race 6 No. 13)
This three-year-old Toronado filly trained by Grant & Alana Williams has one win and one place from her two starts. On debut she worked home strongly on the heavy track to finish 2nd over 1200m at Belmont on 28 July, then had an eight week let-up. She won by an easy 1.8 length margin over 1100m at Northam on 27 September, where she was eased down late. Looks well-placed here and should win.

Cross Statement (Ascot Race 8 No. 1):
This four-year-old Press Statement gelding trained by Jim Taylor has one win and three places from six starts. He finished 4.5 lengths 3rd on heavy going over 1200m at Belmont on 10 July, then steadily faded for 7.5 lengths 8th on heavy going over 1200m at Belmont on 21 July. Resumes from a let-up and looks worth an each-way wager.

Beanie (Ascot Race 4 No. 1):
This six-year-old Helmet gelding has three wins and eight places from 27 starts and is the early favourite in this Class 3 Handicap over 1600m. He chased solidly for 1.2 lengths 2nd over 1400m at Belmont on 22 September, then just won over 1300m at Northam on 3 October.  Hasn’t won in four previous starts at Ascot and offers no value here.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Thursday 25th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true for the 8 race program on ANZAC Day. The feature races include the Anzac Day Stakes (race 5) and the Vrc St Leger (race 6). The best bet comes up in race 4 and looks to be a very promising type who can justify its odds on quote. Best Bet Liberty State (Flemington Race 4 No. 9) A lot to like about the last 2 wins this prep including a lass start 5 length romping in a

Key Comments The rail is true for the 8 race card on Anzac Day. The best bet got too far back on career start number 2 but hit the line hard and looks to get things to suit in its upcoming run. Best Bet Wembanyama (Randwick Race 8 No. 4) Loved the way it hit the line last start when not suited coming from barrier 12 on the tight Wyong track. Drawn better in this, maps for a lovely run and has the

Key Comments The track is rated Soft and the rail is +3 metres from the 1550m to 500m and true for the remainder. Best Bet Dreamzel (Mount Gambier Race 1 No. 7) Dreamzel ran 2nd on debut at Ballarat and has only had 2 runs. Resumes from a 20 week break and gets a 3kg claim. Hard to beat. Horse Racing Tips: TAS Wednesday 24th April 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight.
