He can handle the extra distance and is getting close to a win.

This six-year-old Oratorio gelding has won eight of his 32 starts. At the end of last campaign he finished 3.59 lengths 4th over 1600m at Albany on 15 May, then resumed for a 0.13 length win over 1400m at Ascot on 14 November.This is a similar race and he looks worth an each-way bet here.

This five-year-old More Than Ready gelding is the early favourite in this Rating 72+ handicap over 1400m. He ran 1.89 lengths 6th over 1400m at Ascot on 31 October, then finished 4.86 lengths 6th in the Group 3 RJ Peters Stakes over 1500m at Ascot on 14 November. He was nearly 5 lengths back last start and doesn’t look like value.
