Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The feature races is the Group 2 WATC Derby over 2400m (race 8).

That’s Funny Az (Ascot Race 5 No. 4)
This four-year-old Snippetson gelding has six wins and four places from 19 starts, and has won his last three in a row. He tired late but held on for a 0.3 length win over 1800m at Ascot on 27 February, then led nearly all the way for a 1.35 length win over 1600m at Ascot on 20 March. He likes this track and should be able to bring up four wins in a row.

Each Way

Watch Me Dance (Ascot Race 7 No. 1):
This three-year-old I’m All The Talk Filly has five wins and six places from 14 starts, and four of those wins have been at this track. She resumed from a 15 week spell for 2.99 lengths 5th over 1200m at Ascot on 20 March, then finished 0.91 length 2nd over 1400m at Ascot on 3 April. She has won two from two third-up and looks a good each-way bet.

Best Lay

Creator (Ascot Race 9 No. 8):
This Redoute’s Choice gelding is the early favourite in this BM 66+ Handicap over 1400m. He resumed from a 28 week spell for 1.457 lengths 4th over 1200m at Ascot on 13 March, then hit the line hard for o.83 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Ascot on 27 March. He goes up in distance here and with only one win from 13 starts he offers no value in this very open race.

Black Bookers – Doomben, 10 April 2021

I want to be forgiving of horses on the inside as virtually nothing won or finished well from there all day. Horses at least two off the fence travelled and performed best throughout the program. Race 3 – Foreign Territory He was heavily-backed to start near-favourite, but not much went right for this son of Tavistock. As the steward’s report shows, he jumped out at the start and then proceeded to pull hard in the middle stages of the event. He then hung out rounding the home turn but was

Black Bookers: Randwick (Saturday 10th April 2021)

Black bookers from Saturday's Group 1 meeting at Randwick. Black Booker #1 & #2 I think there’s two horses we can take out of the Australian Derby. Montefilia (Race 7) Firstly, the talented filly Montefilia who finished fourth in the race.  She made up steady ground closer to the fence.  The three that fought out the finish were much wider on the track and in the better ground.  Assuming she has come through the run well she will back up in the Australian Oaks this week and

Best Bets Our Naracoorte Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting. Monteferrante  (Naracoorte Race 6 No. 5) This five-year-old Pierro mare trained by Tony McEvoy has had 22 starts for two wins and 10 places and has been racing at metropolitan tracks. She settled well back and battled on steadily for 5.9 lengths 6th over 2400m at Sandown Hillside on 24 February, then came from well back to look the likely winner at the 100m before being caught and finishing 0.5 length 2nd over 1950m at Morphettville Parks on

Best Bets Our Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting. Exoboom (Hawkesbury Race 5 No. 9) This three-year-old gelding trained by Peter and Paul Snowden has two wins and three places from five starts. She won a maiden plate by 6.84 lengths on a heavy track over 1350m at Wyong on 2 January, then kicked at the 350m and raced away for a 5.3 length win over 1500m at Kembla Grange on 16 January. She has had a 12 week let-up but placed in a recent Randwick
