Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Dirty Deeds (Sandown Hillside 5 No. 6)
This Dundeel gelding hasn’t finished worse than 4th in all seven of his career starts. He was held up 5 deep last at the turn and ran on strongly out wide for 2.25 lengths 2nd over 1400m at Bendigo on a heavy track on 9 August, then ran on strongly to edge clear over the last 50m for a 0.5 length win over 1600m at Bendigo on a heavy track on 21 August. Looks suited at this distance.

Diode (Sandown Hillside Race 8 No. 1):
This four-year-old gelding is in great form this preparation. He took over at the 350m, kicked clear and was strong through the line winning by 2.5 lengths over 1411m at Sale on a heavy track on 13 August, then led most of the way and shot away from the 300m to win by 3.25 lengths over 1400m at Sandown Hillside on 26 August. Is going for a hattrick and looks a good each-way bet.

Best Lay

Perfect World (Sandown Hillside Race 2 No. 4):
This Pride of Dubai filly is the early favourite in this three-year-old fillies BM 70 handicap over 1600m. She charged home out wide and just missed for 0.1 length 2nd in a 2YO maiden plate over 1300m at Bendigo on 29 July, then took over at the 300m but was headed at the 200m and fought hard to the line for a length 2nd in a 3YO fillies maiden plate over 1400m at Sandown Lakeside on 19 August. This race looks a little harder and she doesn’t look like the winner.

Horse Racing Tips: ACT Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000-380m mark and true for the remainder. Racing on a soft 5 track. The best bet is early on in the day. Best Bet Greaves (Canberra Race 2 No. 1) Capable of a big finish when on song. The map here looks good from barrier 4 and Owen has options. This race suits and last start rates well enough to take this out. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes up in the first race at a short price and is a good multi banker. Best Bet Snippety Star (Orange Race 1 No. 10) All runs to date have been solid and Snippety Star won't get a better chance to win than this. Latham does the riding and the depth here is thin. This race suits and is a good multi banker for the weekend. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is out from 7 metres from the 1000m post and true for the remainder. The feature races include the J B Carr Stakes (race 3), Frank Packer Plate (race 4), Hall Mark Stakes (race 5), Jra Plate (race 6), Champagne Stakes (race 7) and the All Aged Stakes (race 8). Have to wait until the last race for the best bet. Best Bet Kibou (Randwick Race 10 No. 3) Smart runner who resumes off a break, has the gun

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The Quokka (race 8) has $5 million prizemoney making it WA's richest race. There is also the Group 2 Karrrakatta Plate (race 7). The track is Good and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Yarralea (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) Last-start winner over 1500m at Ascot and draws to do no work. Should be hard to beat.
