Gate Crash (Sandown Lakeside Race 6 No. 2):
Lightly raced Patrick Payne gelding in his second preparation. His two runs back on the Hillside Track have been excellent. He ran home strongly into second first up with a big gap back to the third horse, then shot through the gap once it appeared last time to win softly on the line. Set up to run a new peak here third up. Should be too good for these.

D’Jumbuck (Sandown Lakeside Race 5 No. 2):
D’Jumbuck just got too far back when six weeks between runs and dropping back to 1100m at Caulfield last start. Despite finishing ninth, I thought he closed off his race off quite well running the second fastest last 200m of the race. Is better set up here – back out to 1200m with good speed on paper. I think he might be able to sit off and get last crack at them here.

Annunciate (Sandown Lakeside Race 3 No. 6):
Annunciate is the current favourite in race three on the program. He is very consistent but has found it hard to win in recent times. Had every chance last start and only battled into second place. Loses Jamie Kah for this. Happy to bet around it at the price.
