Our Sandown Lakeside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Maid Of Iron (Sandown Lakeside Race 6 No. 9):

Maid Of Iron resumes in her second preparation.  She debuted in a Geelong maiden in December and was ultra impressive coming from midfield to win running away on the line.  The performance was backed up on the clock.  She has jumped out well in recent weeks and this looks a nice race for her to tackle first up.

Each Way

Curran (Sandown Lakeside Lakeside Race 2 No. 2):

Curran sat three wide on speed and was still able to kick strongly to win a Pakenham maiden by 1.8 lengths on February 18.  Then last start he surged to the lead here and was only reeled in late by the smart And Beyond.  There looks to be good speed on paper in this race, which should give him his chance to finish over the top.

Best Lay

Duke Caboom (Sandown Lakeisde Race 5 No. 2):

Duke Caboom has come up as the early favourite in race five on the card.   He resumed with a solid win in a benchmark 64 at Bendigo but meets much stronger opposition here.  He may also find himself in a tricky spot needing luck from barrier one with the apprentice on –  he doesn’t represent any value here.

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is out 0.5 metre from the 900m to 600m, and +1.5 metres from the 600m to 250m. Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Key Comments There are 8 races at Pinjarra Park. The track is soft and the rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Processio (Pinjarra Race 2 No. 6) This filly was a neck 2nd when resuming over 1200m at Bunbury on 2nd June. There was a 6 length gap to 3rd. Looks a strong chance here. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Thursday 20th June 2024

Key Comments Suitable track for those who can sustain a long finale. The rail is in 3 metres from the 1100m mark to the winning post and true for the remainder. The track is in the soft range. The best bet brings in some very strong form lines. Best Bet Recruiter (Kembla Grange Race 5 No. 4) Tough draw to overcome but love the form lines around this runner with 3 horses to have subsequently run and won including Art Volant and Waterski

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 19th June 2024

Key Comments The track is in the heavy range. The rail is out 3 metres. The best bet comes up in race three and showed promising signs on debut and followed that up last start. Should prove hard to hold out. Best Bet Grassburn (Canterbury Race 3 No. 4) Both seconds to date have been very good efforts and strikes a suitable affair here. The map is ideal from the draw and the current favourite arrives at odds that look too short. Nice
