Five year old gelding trained by Simon Zahra. Thought his run first up at Geelong was excellent. He closed strongly from the back to run second against the pattern of the day. Gets in with just 57.5 kg after the claim, maps to get a gun run and was a winner his only try this track and distance.

Gate Crash (Sandown Hillside Race 3 No. 1):
Gate Crash is currently rated a $3.20 chance in race three. He was third at Warracknabeal on debut, then broke his maiden at Sale in good style before being sent to the paddock. Did have the bias in his favour on that occasion. Resumes here. Has been jumping out well enough in preparation for this but he likes to get back in his races and will need luck from barrier one. He is short enough for mine.
