Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Chief Altony (Flemington Race 3 No. 12)

Chief Altony put the writing on the wall with a strong second behind the talented Corner Pocket first up before blowing his rivals away by four lengths when stepping to 1400m last time.  Likely to still have some improvement to come third up and looks to be drawn perfectly in barrier seven.  Hard to beat again.

Mrs Beckham (Flemington Race 2 No. 6):

Mrs Beckham is a talented mare trained by the Ellerton and Zahra team.  She ran home well after being snagged right back to last from the wide gate at Sandown second up.  From barrier four on Saturday I think she can settle much closer in the run and can be in the finish at a big price.

Excelman (Flemington Race 9 No. 13):

Excelman has come up as the early favourite in the final race on the card.  He found the right race/set up last start and won comfortably thanks to a perfect ride from Jamie Kah.  A lot more depth here so happy to work around him at the current odds.
