Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Cardinal Gem (Flemington Race 7 No. 8)

Cardinal Gem has ran home in some very strong closing splits after getting a long way back in both runs this preparation.   I think he is capable of settling a couple of pairs closer from the good gate on Saturday & is ready to peak third up.

Mask Up (Flemington Race 5 No. 15):

Lightly raced four year old under the care of gun trainer Symon Wilde.  Won first up in Adelaide, then got a long way back here last start after missing the kick and absolutely rocked to the line.  Huge run.  He has more upside than these and should prove very hard to beat with a slightly cleaner jump.

Passive Aggressive (Flemington Race 9 No. 9):

Passive Aggressive is a talented filly who has been most impressive in her two runs to date.  She has a great winning chance again on Saturday however she tries the straight for the first time where as one of her key dangers Treporti has ticked that box putting down a very solid rating at the track and distance first up.  I have marked them closer together in my market and therefor risking her at the current price.

Key Comments There are 7 races on a good track where the rail is +1 metre from the 1850m to the 1550m, +3 metres from the 950m to the 450m and true for the remainder. This is the same rail position as the last meeting on 20th November. Best Bet Whine For Wine (Balaklava Race 3 No. 9) Whine For Wine ran 4th over 1050m at Morphettville at her only start.
