This Perth galloper has the enviable record of 5 wins and a place from 6 starts. He took over a the 150m and raced away for a 2.4 length win over 1300m at Belmont on 27 June, then arrived in the shadows for a 0.3 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 11 July with the best closing 400m sectional of the meeting. He has had a 7 week let-up and should win again.

Dabiyr (Caulfield Race 5 No. 5):
This six-year-old Redoubte’s Choice gelding has won 5 races over distances of 1800m to 2500m. At the end of last campaign he ran 2nd in the Listed Roy Higgins Quality over 2600m then finished 9.8 lengths 9th in the Group 2 Adelaide Cup over 3200m on 9 March where he didn’t run out the 3200m and was lame in the near foreleg. He resumed for 3rd over 1600m at Flemongton on 18 July where he kept working to the line out wide and should improve over the extra ground. He looks a nice each-way prospect.

This Toronado mare is the early favourite in this 1400m mares handicap. She finished 0.4, 0.5 lengths 3rd in the VOBIS Sires Guineas over 1600m at Caulfield on 18 April when favourite, then finished 0.8, 0.2 lengths 3rd in the Group 1 Schweppes Oaks over 2000m at Morphettville on 2 May. She resumes from a 17 week break and is up against some race-fit opposition in a capacity field and does not look like value.
