Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Tagaloa (Flemington Race 7 No. 2)

There is a lot to like about this colts chances in the Group 1 Australian Guinea’s on Saturday.  The 2020 Blue Diamond winner rode a brutal speed here second up and still managed to reel off the fastest last 200m sectional of the race to the win the CS Hayes Stakes in superb fashion.  Four of the last six winners of the CS Hayes Stakes have gone onto win the Australian Guinea’s and we think he can make it five from seven.

Each Way

Celestine (Flemington Race 8 No. 13):

This lightly raced filly trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy resumes in her second preparation.  She has already shown a liking to the Flemington straight in her short racing career with arguably her two best runs having been here.  She won here on September 23 by 1.5 lengths in convincing fashion and then ran third to the very talented Written Beauty in the Red Roses Stakes before being sent for a spell.  She has jumped out well at Avoca and looks well drawn in barrier 7 to run a big race fresh.

Best Lay

Snapdancer (Flemington Race 9 No. 8):

Snapdancer has come up as the early favourite in the last race on the card.  She is a consistent type who won her first two starts this preparation.  Last start in the Geoffrey Belmaine Stakes at Caulfield she raced outside the leader and fought on okay to finish third – Paul’s Regret who she meets again here was able to beat her home on that occasion.  This race has a bit of depth to it and we don’t think she represents any value in early markets.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments First day of the Grafton Carnival. The feature race is the Ramornie Handicap (race 7). The best bet also comes up in that race and is a proven classy performer who comes off a luckless second placing. Best Bet Pereille (Grafton Race 7 No. 3) Proven top shelf performer who had no luck last run when bolting at a crucial stage. Maps for a lovely run, has in the form jockey Lloyd aboard and only needs clean air in the big

Horse Racing Tips: NT Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The feature is the $50,000 Finance Cup over 1600m (race 6). The track is sand and is rated Good and the weather is fine. The rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Pink Panther (Darwin Race 6 No. 3) He’s won both starts this preparation and steps up to the mile – a distance he’s won 3 times from 4 attempts. Hard to beat. Key Comments The track is in the soft range. The rail is in the 5 metres. The best bet sees an easier race than last start on paper and looks very hard to beat. Best Bet Little Cointreau (Randwick Race 6 No. 2) Has been racing in good fashion and brings in some very credible form lines around the likes of Elouyou and Captain Furai. Back off the heavy ground should suit and maps for a dream run from barrier 2. Deserving favourite.
