Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Tagaloa (Flemington Race 7 No. 2)

There is a lot to like about this colts chances in the Group 1 Australian Guinea’s on Saturday.  The 2020 Blue Diamond winner rode a brutal speed here second up and still managed to reel off the fastest last 200m sectional of the race to the win the CS Hayes Stakes in superb fashion.  Four of the last six winners of the CS Hayes Stakes have gone onto win the Australian Guinea’s and we think he can make it five from seven.

Celestine (Flemington Race 8 No. 13):

This lightly raced filly trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy resumes in her second preparation.  She has already shown a liking to the Flemington straight in her short racing career with arguably her two best runs having been here.  She won here on September 23 by 1.5 lengths in convincing fashion and then ran third to the very talented Written Beauty in the Red Roses Stakes before being sent for a spell.  She has jumped out well at Avoca and looks well drawn in barrier 7 to run a big race fresh.

Snapdancer (Flemington Race 9 No. 8):

Snapdancer has come up as the early favourite in the last race on the card.  She is a consistent type who won her first two starts this preparation.  Last start in the Geoffrey Belmaine Stakes at Caulfield she raced outside the leader and fought on okay to finish third – Paul’s Regret who she meets again here was able to beat her home on that occasion.  This race has a bit of depth to it and we don’t think she represents any value in early markets.
