Last start this five-year-old Fast ‘n’ Famous mare looked unlucky not to have won and should be able to change that on her home track. She was taken out very wide and didn’t come on in the straight when 5.2 lengths 7th over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 13 November, then ran well and was grabbed right on the line for a close 2nd over 1200m at Gawler on 1 December. Ready to win.

Modric (Strathalbyn Race 8 No. 7):
This five-year-old Stryker gelding trained by Ryan Balfour has one win and two places from nine starts. Resuming from a 14 week let-up he battled on evenly for 3.5 lengths 5th over 1300m at Morphettville Parks on 4 December, then was a 0.5 length winner of a maiden plate over 1200m at Strathalbyn on 15 December. Should be capable of placing here.

Muffla (Strathalbyn Race 2 No. 4):
This four-year-old Free Eagle gelding is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 2050m. He took over at the 400m but was unable to hold off the winner at the 100m and finished 1.5 lengths 2nd over 2200m at Balaklava on 8 December, then was there until the final 150m and finished 2.9 lengths 3rd over 2150m at Oakbank on 22 December. Willing to risk him here.
