Our Gawler Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Castle Of Kings  (Gawler Race 3 No. 1)
This four-year-old Nicconi gelding trained by Will Clarken has four places from four starts. He couldn’t go with the winner and finished 0.7 length 2nd over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 7 August, then looked the winner for a while before 1.2 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Morphettville on 21 August. Rates highly here and should win this maiden plate.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Monraaj (Gawler Race 7 No. 2):
This six-year-old Iffraaj gelding trained by Ryan Balfour has three wins and six places from 27 starts. He lost his position and battled away for 3.9 lengths 5th on a heavy track over 1300m at Balaklava on 28 July, then got the upper-hand in the closing stages for a 0.3 length win over 1400m at Balaklava on 11 August. Has a 3kg claim here and is worth an each-way wager.

Best Lay

Zoustorm (Gawler Race 6 No. 9):
This six-year-old Zoustar gelding trained by David Tootell (snr) is the early favourite in this BM 54 Handicap over 1200m. He worked home solidly for a 0.3 length win over 1200m at Balaklava on 11 August, then had to be steadied at the 100m before finishing 2.2 lengths 5th over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 25 August. This is a very open race and I’m prepared to risk him here.

$5.00

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments An 8 race meeting on the synthetic Poly Track where the rail is in the true position. Best Bet I Am Amazes (Gold Coast Poly Race 1 No. 7) This mare has been runner-up at her last 2 starts, both at this track. Should be ready to lose her maiden status. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Whiskey Dancer (Gold Coast Poly Race 5 No. 7) Resumed for 2nd at this

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments 8 race card on a good 4 track. The best bet is in the first and looks placed to win off the back of a sound return off a long break. Best Bet Media World (Kembla Grange Race 1 No. 3) This 2yo Colt was sound first up without much luck and looks set for better races than this. Can get the dream run from barrier 1 and break maiden in what is a handy field. Check odds on SmartB

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 3 metres and the track is heavy. Just 6 races on the small card and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Grand Horizon (Taree Race 1 No. 3) Gets barrier 1 and this 4yo Mare boasts 2 placings on the track and looks nicely placed against this bunch. Set to peak and looks primed to get another win and should do no work from the draw. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes up in race 3 and only needs a pinch of luck from the barrier to be breaking maiden. Best Bet Beautiful View (Horsham Race 3 No. 1) Needs luck from out there but has been around the mark all this prep and Fry is an ideal booking. Does find the right race here and still looms at backable odds. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each
