Royal Bower (Balaklava Race 8 No. 10)
This six-year-old Sepoy mare trained by Karen Byrnes at Murray Bridge has three wins and nine places from 44 starts. She worked home nicely for 3.4 lengths 7th over 1200m at Murray Bridge where she was doing her best work late, then made good ground in the final 20om for 1.1 lengths 2nd over 1506m at Gawler on 29 July. The rise in trip should suit and she commands serious thought.

Hilumiere (Balaklava Race 7 No. 9):
This eight-year-old Artie Schiller mare trained by Greg Lesnikowski has seven wins and 19 places from 55 starts. She came from 14th to get up in the closing stages for a 0.7 length win over 1400m at Balaklava on 30 June, then came from last for a length win over 14oom at Morphettville Parks on 17 July. She is going really well at the moment and looks a nice each-way chance.

Harbouring (Balaklava Race 9 No. 8):
This six-year-old Harbour Watch gelding trained by Grant Young is the early favourite in this BM 54 handicap over 1200m. He ran on strongly from 12th to come clear in the final 150m for a 2.8 length win over 1300m at Balaklava on 28 July, then came from last at the 400m for 2.7 lengths 4th over 1100m at Port Augusta on 6 August. With only four wins from 32 starts I am willing to risk him here.
