Chucky (Gawler Race 7 No. 1)
This five-year-old Danerich gelding has one win and three places from nine starts. He got way too far back when 6.9 lengths 8th over 1300m at Morphettville Parks on 29 August, then was held up from the turn to the 150m but chased solidly to grab 2nd over 1050m at Morphettville on 19 September. He has trialled well at Gawler and has strong claims here.

Lollielucas (Gawler Race 5 No. 2):
This five-year-old gelding has one win and one place from six starts. He kept working home solidly for 0.6 length 2nd over 1800m at Murray Bridge on 1 January, then worked home nicely gathering in the leaders in the final 50m for a 1.2 length win over 1900m at Oakbank on 20 January. Now he has broken his maiden he looks a likely each-way chance here.

Puissance Dusoleil (Gawler Race 6 No. 8):
This four-year-old Puissance de Lune mare is the early favourite in this BM 62 handicap over 1516m. She resumed from a 20 week spell for 6.3 lengths 8th over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 16 January, then kept battling away for 3 lengths 4th over 1600m at Morphettville on 30 January. There are several last start winners in the race and she doesn’t offer value.
