He ran on from the back half of the field to finish 0.5, 0.2 length 3rd over 1630m at Doomben on 24 April, then was leading until the final 100m and fought hard for 0.1 length 2nd over 1600m at Eagle Farm on 5 May. He has placed at his last four starts and is ready to win.

One For Betty (Doomben Race 8 No. 14):
This five-year-old All Too Hard mare has had five wins and five places from 19 starts. She fought on for 0.9 lengths 4th over 1615m at Doomben on 24 October, then was spelled for 28 weeks. On resuming she didn’t run on and finished 11.7 lengths 16th in the Listed Silk Stocking over 1400m at Gold Coast on 8 May. She is better than that and is worth an each-way bet.

Neutron (Doomben Race 4 No. 8):
This three-year-old Starcraft gelding is the early favourite in this apprentice race Class 1 plate over 1350m. At the end of last campaign she was held up to the 100m and fought on when clear for 0.8 length 4th over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 3 October. On resuming after 31 weeks she chased solidly for 2.91, 0.57 lengths 3rd on a heavy track over 1100m at Murwillumbah on 10 May. May need another run and offers no value at the current price.
