This four-year-old Wandjina gelding trained by Tom Dougall has five wins and two places from seven starts. He took over at the 150m and dashed away for a 4.5 length win over 1350m at Doomben on 23 October, then hit the front at the 250m for a 1.75 length win over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 6 November. Looking for a hat-trick here and it’s hard to see anything beating him.

Demurral (Doomben Race 6 No. 6):
This five-year-old Not a Single Doubt gelding trained by David Vandyke has four wins and three places from 11 starts. He kept coming gamely to finish 0.3 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 3 October, then was a o.5 length winner over 1800m at Sunshine Coast on 5 November. Should handle the extra distance and looks a great each-way chance.

Mix (Doomben Race 8 No. 4):
This four-year-old Medaglia d’Oro gelding trained by Lee Freedman is the early favourite in this Class 2 handicap over 1200m. At the end of last campaign he kept chasing for 0.7 length 3rd over 1100m at Gosford on 27 May then was spelled for 23 weeks. He resumed with a 2.7 length win on soft going over 1100m at Gold Coast on 6 November. Has drawn the outside barrier in a capacity field and I’m prepared to risk him.

Best Bet Media World (Kembla Grange Race 1 No. 3) This 2yo Colt was sound first up without much luck and looks set for better races than this.
