Our Gold Coast Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Tamilaide (Gold Coast Race 5 No. 5)
This four-year-old Adelaide gelding trained by Les Kelly has three wins and four places from seven starts and won his only previous start at this track. He was a 1.4 length winner of the Grafton Guineas over 1600m at Grafton on 7 July, then fought hard but couldn’t run down the leader and finished 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1615m at Doomben on 24 July. Resumes from an 18 week spell and is the one they have to beat.

Each Way

Miami Fleiss (Gold Coast Race 8 No. 7):
This four-year-old Spirit of Boom mare has four wins and a place from six starts. She drew clear at the 200m for a 1.5 length win over 1200m at Doomben on 28 August, then took over at the 150m for a 1.3 length win over 1300m at Gold Coast on 18 September. Resumes from a 10 week let-up and won a recent Doomben trial. Looks a great each-way chance.

Best Lay

Morethannumberone (Gold Coast Race 6  No. 10):
This five-year-old More Than Ready gelding trained by Michael Costa is the early favourite in this Class 6 Plate over 1400m. He ran on best out wide for a 1.3 length win over 1400m at Gold Coast on 18 September, then was slowly away but ran on out wide for 0.4 length 3rd over 1350m at Doomben on 13 November. This is his first race at Class 6 level and he offers no value.
