This four-year-old Red Dazzler gelding has four wins from 12 starts. He began well and led from the 800m to win by a comfortable 1.3 length margin over 1350m at Ipswich on 24 December. then adopted similar tactics to win by 1.75 lengths over 1640m at Doomben on 7 January. He has good early speed and should be able to bring up a hat-trick of wins here.

This three-year-old All Too Hard gelding has three wins and three places from eight starts. He led from the 800m to the home turn and fought hard for 0.1, 0.2 length 3rd over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 26 December, then fought hard again for 0.1, 0.2 length 3rd over 1200m at Gold Coast on 9 January. He always tried hard and is worth an each-way bet.

So Dapper (Doomben Race 7 No. 8):
This five-year-old So You Think horse is the early favourite in this BM 80 Handicap over 2000m. He fought on for 2.2 lengths 4th over 1810m at Eagle Farm on 2 January, then finished 2.75 lengths 2nd in the Magic Millions Open quality handicap over 1800m at Gold Coast on 16 January. He is on a seven day backup and should run well but I don’t think he can win.
