This Written Tycoon filly has two wins and two places from six starts. She jumped awkwardly and finished 0.3,0.3 lengths 3rd over 1110m at Doomben on 9 May then had a 24 week spell. She resumed for 0.5 length 2nd over 1200m at Doomben on 24 October and drops in weight here. Looks the likely winner.

Chapelco (Doomben Race 3 No. 3):
This seven-year-old Northern Meteor gelding trained by Gary Duncan has six wins and six places from 38 starts, and all the wins have been at this distance range. He got going late to just miss for 0.1, 0.2 lengths 3rd over 1350m at Ipswich on 2 October where the rider said he needed a bigger track. Next start he won by 0.3 lengths over 1300m on a soft track at Sunshine Coast on 25 October. He looks an excellent each-way bet.

Hard Empire (Doomben Race 9 No. 4):
This seven-year-old Hard Spun gelding is the early favourite in the Listed Keith Noud Quality Handicap over 1200m. At the end of last campaign he finished 0.3, 0.9 lengths 3rd in the Listed City Of Adelaide Handicap over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 25 April. He resumed with a length win over 1110m at Doomben on 3 November. His second-up record isn’t great and he doesn’t represent value.
