This five-year-old Ilovethiscity gelding has two wins and three places from 11 starts. He chased solidly along the rails for 2 lengths 3rd over 1106m at Sale on 20 December, then just plugged when 8.7 lengths 7th over 1200m at Caulfield on 13 January. Resumes here after a 28 week spell and is having his first start for this trainer. Both his wins have been first up and he can win here.

Newmatic Sands (Darwin Race 4 No. 5):
This five-year-old Written Tycoon mare has four places from her 12 starts. She dropped out a long last and did well to run on for 7.7 lengths 6th of 10 over 1100m at Darwin on 12 June, then improved to finish 2.5 lengths 2nd over 1300m at Darwin on 26 June. Looks a nice each-way chance again.

Tugga War (Darwin Race 1 No. 4):
This five-year-old chestnut mare trained by Gary Clarke is the early favourite in this BM 0-62 handicap over 1600m. Resuming from a 24 week spell she finished 3.8 lengths 2nd over 1100m at Darwin on 12 June, then ran on steadily for 6.1 lengths 5th over 1200m at Darwin on 26 June. Will appreciate the extra distance, but others look to have better chances.
