The Sapphire Stakes is a 1200 metre set weights plus penalties race for fillies and mares run by the Australian Turf Club in April. It is held at Randwick as part of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

The race was first held as a Listed race in 1998 and was won by What Can I Say. In 2002 it was upgraded to a Group 3 race and in 2007 it was upgraded to the current Group 2 status. It 2010 it was run as the Lady Sonia McMahon Memorial Stakes in honour of the wife of former Prime Minister William McMahon who died in April 2010.
