The betting education section is free of charge and designed to teach you how to back a winner and how to become a profitable horse racing investor.

Firstly, we will look at some basic tools needed to begin analyzing the form.

Form Guide

Form guides provide key details about a race and the horses in it. There are many different form guides available – here are two that you might like to look at (they are free of charge):

  1. Racing Australia – They provide a basic form guide for every gallops race in Australia – Click here for a link to their website.
  2. Racenet – A more sophisticated and user-friendly form guide. They have speed maps, comments on past runs and many other features.  Click here for a link to their website.

Many papers such as the Daily Telegraph publish form guides every day that cover races across Australia.  Often these newspapers will only show the fields or don’t have enough information to do in-depth form analysis though. For people who only bet on the weekend the Best Bets publication available from newsagents is a handy sized publication that you can take to the track with you.

Access to Replays

Watching replays is a key part of doing the form, they are normally free and can include races, trials and jump outs.  We have provided website links for each jurisdiction below:

Victoria – racing.com

NSW – racingnsw.com.au

Queensland – racingqueensland.com.au

Western Australia – cris.rwwa.com.au

Tasmania – Tasracing.com.au
