Fremantle Dockers v Melbourne Demons

Friday 29/7/22 @ Perth

Last 5 Encounters |  Fremantle 2  |  Melbourne 3

The reigning premiers Melbourne return to Optus Stadium – the venue where they won last years Grand Final – to face Fremantle on Friday night.

This is a very important game for both clubs with neither assured of a top four birth.  Could it also be a grand final preview???

Fremantle loses the dual brownlow medalist Nat Fyfe with a hamstring injury.  The Demons get All Australian defender Jake Lever back but will still be with out Ben Brown.

With both these teams putting a premium on defence, and showers predicted throughout the afternoon and evening in Perth – this shapes as a game with very few points.

Suggested Bet – 1 Unit Total Match Points UNDER (144.5) @ $1.90 (Pointsbet)

St Kilda Saints v Hawthorn Hawks

Saturday 30/7/22 @ Docklands

Last 5 Encounters |  St Kilda 4  |  Hawthorn 1

St Kilda did what they needed to do in the West against the Eagles last week and return home with a much needed four points as they try to fight their way back into the top 8.

Hawthorn took care of the Kangaroos comfotably in Tassie to make it three wins on the trot.  However those wins, while convincing, have come against the three bottom placed sides and the Hawks face a tougher test here.

Hawthorn play a fast flowing game of football and the Saints have shown good capacity to score big especially under the roof.  There was 215 points kicked when these sides met earlier in the year and I see no reason why this won’t be high scoring again here.

Suggested Bet – 1.5 Units Total Match Points OVER (166.5) @ $1.88 (Sportsbet) & .5 Unit St Kilda Line (-8.5) & Total Match Points Over (166.5) @ $3.40 (Sportsbet)

Gold Coast Suns v West Coast Eagles

Sunday 31/7/22 @ Gold Coast

Last 5 Encounters |  Gold Coast 2  |  West Coast 3

Gold Coast return home after a tough couple of weeks on the road.  They were dismantled by Essendon in Melbourne, then looked the winner at three quarter time in the Q clash before the Lions kicked 5 goals to 1 in the last quarter to snatch victory.

They face a much easier task here in the Eagles who may get a couple of good players back in Yeo, Petruccelle and Natanui but I am not convinced that is going to be enough to stop the Suns taking care of this line.

Suggested Bet – 1 Unit Gold Coast Line (-33.5) @ $1.95 (Topsport)
