AFL ROUND 10/11 PREVIEW

The footy marathon roles on for rounds 10 & 11.   Twenty consecutive days of footy is great for fans but does complicate things for our previews.  The odds only become available a few days before the games so it does not give me a lot of options to choose from.  Therefore – we will only bet into one game again this week.

Essendon $2.8 v Greater Western Sydney $1.44

GWS are starting to build into their season .  They lost Toby Greene early on Friday night but still managed to account for the Gold Coast by 31 points.  They are looking for a third win in a row.

Essendon were well beaten by the Lions last week making it two 40 + loses from their past three games.  They will be looking for an improved performance against the Giants.

With a deluge of rain predicted for Friday night on the Gold Coast a medium bet on the under 103.5 Total Match points makes sense to me.

While that may seem low on face value these teams are not high scoring – and assuming the rain arrives I don’t think they will get close to the 100 point mark.

The game will become one of defence and territory with goals hard to come by.

Lewis’ Betting Strategy

Essendon v Greater Western Sydney – Total Game Points Under 103.5 Points – 1.5 units at $1.90

* Please note that I work off a betting bank of 100 units and my maximum outlay is 2.5 units.
