Horse Racing in Singapore has a long and colorful history. The first horse race to take place was in February 1843 and was organised by the Singapore Sporting Club which was a recently formed group of racing enthusiasts.

Singapore Racecourse – Kranji:
The Singapore racecourse at Kranji is in the northern part of Singapore which is located about 20 kilometres from the city. It is a racecourse designed for champions with the best features from leading racecourses around the world being incorporated into the design.
It features a four storey Grandstand as the centerpiece of the new track which can accommodate up to 30,000 race goers at any one time.
