The 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series will get off to a flying start at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on the 1 March 2007. The inaugural series was held in 1960 and over the years many great racing champions have won the event. Peter Brock and Mark Skaife hold the joint record of 37 race wins with Allan Moffat in close second with 32 race wins and Craig Lowndes with 26. The 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series should continue the close tousle between Ricky Kelly and Craig Lowndes from 2006.
