Australia Stakes – Moonee Valley
The main race at Moonee Valley is the weight-for-age Group 1 $400,000 Pulse Pharmacy Australia Stakes over 1200 metres featuring Weekend Hussler and Apache Cat in a small field of 7 runners.

Despite his first up failure in the Lightning, the early favourite is Weekend Hussler at the odds-on price of $1.60 in the early market. Sportingbet Australia have already taken a $25,000 bet on him. He was unlucky first-up and has an unbeaten record second-up. 

Apache Cat is $5 and he also seems to do better at a second run from a spell. Third in the early market is the lightly raced three-year-old Time Thief at $6, the honest Tesbury Jack at $16 and Vormista at $18.

Sunline Stakes – Moonee Valley
There are several good races on the nine event program at Moonee Valley and one of them is the Group 2 $180,000 Arrow Training Services Sunline Stakes over 1600 metres. It is a weight-for-age race for four-year-old and upwards mares and there are nine runners.

The early market has Fifth Avenue Lady favourite at $3.80 just ahead of Princess Marizza at $4.20, Youthful High at $5.50 and Partiva and Subtle Cove booth at $7. If Fifth Avenue Lady can reproduce her performance from last start she should win again. Rolling Stock at $8 is in form and should run a place.

Light Fingers Stakes – Randwick
The Group 2 $150,000 Light Fingers Stakes over 1200 metres is a set-weight race for three-year-olds fillies, and there are 16 starters. The clear favourite in the early market is Samantha Miss at $2.20 who is resuming after a brilliant Spring campaign where she won several feature races for three-year-old fillies, came third in the Cox Plate and finished by winning the Crown Oaks over 2500 metres by over 3 lengths. She has 2 first-up starts for 2wins and is expected to make it 3 from 3.

Her main dangers are in-form Anatomica ($9) who has won her last 2 starts, Rock Me Baby ($10) who has won the last 3 in a row with the latest at Rosehill on 31 January, and Love and Kisses ($10) who is resuming fro a 3 month spell.
