Makybe Diva Stakes – Flemington
Flemington has a great 9 race programme to start the Spring racing with three Group 2 races, a Group 3 race and a Listed race. The Group 2 $400,000 Makybe Diva Stakes is a standard weight-for-age race over 1600 metres and there are 12 runners. The favourite in the early market is Typhoon Tracy at $2.30. She is the only mare in the field and has won 5 of her 6 starts. On 15 August she ran 3rd in the Liston Stakes when resuming.
Next in the early market is Heart Of Dreams at $4.40, Predatory Pricer at $4.60, Vigor at $9 then Pacino, Zagreb and C’est La Guerre all at $18. Heart Of Dreams looked as if the extra 200 metres will suit when resuming in the Liston. Vigor goes well at Flemington and the distance suits. New Zealand horse Maco’Reilly ($51) is also capable of running a place.

This will be Black Caviar’s toughest test to date, but with the light weight she is capable of making it 4 runs for 4 wins.
