George Main Stakes – Randwick
Randwick has an excellent 8 race programme with a Group 1 race, a Group 2 race, two Group 3 races and three Listed races. The Group 1 $400,000 Arrowfield Stud George Main Stakes is a weight-for-age race over 1600 metres and has a field of 10 runners. The odds-on favourite in the early market is Racing To Win at $1.90. Next in the market is Onemorenomore at $4.40, Black Piranha at $6, Rock Kingdom at $10, Vision And Power at $12 and Court Command at $13.
Racing To Win won this race in 2006 before winning the Epsom the following week. His last start win over 1400m in the Theo Marks on 12 September signalled he was back to his best and can win again. Black Piranha is a quality racehorse who has performed well in many good races. Onemorenomore has only 8 race starts but as a three-year-old the 50.5kg is a featherweight and he is capable of running a place.
Jo’s tips: 1. Racing To Win, 2. Black Piranha, 3. Onemorenomore
