Rupert Clarke Stakes – Caulfield
There are 9 races at Caulfield with two Group 1 races, four Group 3 race and a Listed race. The Group 1 $350,000 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over 1400 metres has attracted a field of 18 runners and the topweight is Orange County with 58kg.
The early market is very open with Raffaelo favourite at $5.50. Next in the market is Gold Salute at $7, Estee at $8, Chasm at $8.50, Orange County and Raheeb both at $11, Masked Assassin at $13 and Von Costa de Hero at $15. Raffaello has been freshened after his win here on 15 August. Chasm loves this distance but will not like barrier 1 as he likes galloping room. Masked Assassin should improve from last start.

Underwood Stakes – Caulfield
There are 16 runners plus 3 emergencies in the Group 1 $350,000 Rokk Ebony Underwood Stakes over 1800 metres. It is a standard weight-for-age race for three-year-olds and upwards. Eight runners plus 2 of the emergencies had their last start in the 1600m Makybe Diva on 5 September and 3 had their last start in the 1400m Memsie on 29 August.
The early favourite is Whobegotyou at $2.60 following his impressive win in the Feehan last Saturday. Next in the early market are Heart of Dreams and Vigor both at $7, Typhoon Tracy at $8.50, Predatory Pricer and Zarita both at $11 and Maldivian at $16. Whobegotyou is capable of another win. Vigor fought well to win the Makybe Diva and has only been unplaced once at Caulfield. Viewed ran fourth in the Memsie and could run a place here.

Hill Stakes – Rosehill
Rosehill has an 8 race program with three Group 2 races, a Group 3 race and two Listed races. The Group 2 $150,000 Hill Stakes over 1900 metres is a weight-for-age race for three-year-olds and upwards and there is a field of 10 runners.
The early favourite is Miss Marielle at $3, followed by Roman Emperor at $4.60, Vision And Power at $4.60, Hume at $8.50, Pacino at $11 and Fulmonti at $14. Roman Emperor won the AJC Derby in April and has had 2 runs back from a spell over shorter distances where he has finished strongly. Miss Marielle has been very consistent this time in and was second in the Chelmsford last start. Hume has been going well in Queensland with 6 wins and 4 seconds from 13 starts. Vision And Power will finish strongly.
