The Listed $75,000 Leo Williams AO Memorial Classic Fillies and Mares Plate is a set weights plus penalties race over 1200 metres. There are 18 runners and the early betting market is wide open. The favourite at $6 is Sydney mare Conquering Queen who has 3 wins from 6 starts. Next is Eripsni at $6.50, Gag Order at $7, Visa Lisa, Boogaloo and Feline Flyer all at $7.50, She’s In The Guide and Tootsie Zynsky both at $9.50 then Plain Magic at $11.
Eripsni is a very honest mare and at her only start here was less than a length away in 4th. She has had 14 starts for 5 wins and 4 placings. Conquering Queen has had all 3 of her wins at 1100m but looks as if she can manage the extra 100m. Tootsie Zynsky has been racing well in mares races.
