Schweppes Sydney Cup Day 2007

The 2007 Schweppes Sydney Cup Day is to be held at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. The Group 1 feature handicap race will run over 3200m on the 14 April 2007 and the winner will claim a prize of $800,000.

The Sydney Cup has been running since 1866, with the event having a mix of a carnivale atmosphere and fantastic racing.

Last year the handicap race was won by County Tyrone riden by Jim Cassidy.

All eyes will be on the favourites who include Soulacroix, Prince Arthur, Blutigeroo, Pentance and Vanquished.
